PASS-O-MAT DUPLEX - How the system operates

NORMALLY OPEN MODE

Unauthorised passage attempt by one single user

Unauthorised user enters passageway, panels close blocking passage and alarm is activated (local, acoustic, remote, etc.). As soon as user exits passageway, panels open and alarm ceases.

 

 

Tailgating attempt

Person C attempts entrance by tailgating behind one or more authorised person (s) A and B. Panels close and block the passage as soon as the unauthorised user C is detected. B and C must step out the passageway. Panels re-open as soon as passageway is cleared. At this time, B (authorised) may pass freely through passageway. B’s prior authorisation has been memorised by the system.

 

 

NORMALLY CLOSED MODE

Authorised passage

Person obtains authorisation to enter. Panels open clearing passageway.

 

 

One way free passage

Person obtains authorisation to enter. Panels open clearing passageway.

 

 

Unauthorised passage attempt by one single user

When person enters passageway without authorisation, alarm is activated. Alarm ceases when person has returned to entry-way and cleared passageway.

 

 

 

PASS-O-MAT DUPLEX - Details of walkways

*   The service/disabled passageway is formed by widening the passageway and using 500 mm long swing panels.

 

1.      Installation of a "first lane" formed by 2 terminal cabinets with 2 swing panels each.

2.      Multiple installation consisting of a "first lane" formed by 2 terminal cabinets with 2 swing panels each and a "next lane" formed by 1 centre cabinet with 4 swing panels
